It grows well in neutral and chalky soils but avoid heavy clay. Ensure a sunny postition when planting.Pruning: Cut back new growth once the colour has gone and you will be rewarded with a second colourful display.Propagation: Plant cuttings in a cold frame in summer.Recommended Varities: Photinia fraseri 'Red Robin' - young foliage is bright red in spring, changing to deep green as it matures.
