After Winter it is tempting to look at the moss in your lawn and dive in head first with moss killer. However the best way to tackle this problem is to look at the conditions which are causing the moss to thrive. Bad drainage, shaded aspect etc. can all encourage moss. You have to deal with the causes and not just the symptoms or you will be fighting a losing battle. Always work with nature, not against it.
If you have impoved the drainage and your lawn is in the correct postion regarding light, in Spring feed with a lawn fertilser only at first. First cut should be high and subsequent cuts should not be too short. Mid season treat with with a weed, feed and mosskiller. Feed with an Autumn feed later in the year and scarify in Autumn when the grass is producing runners to fill any gaps caused by scarification...
